HISTORY

On July 19, 1954, Organizzazione Tigullio Assistenza Motoscafi was founded as one of the first boat storage yards in Liguria.
…right from the start, OTAM built a strong reputation, becoming an Official RIVA Assistance Center. However, the true passion for construction and speed emerged in the late 1960s, when OTAM began building his own Custom Projects, fifteen high-performance wooden boats with triple planking, still sailing today. From the beginning, OTAM has been known for using sophisticated artisanal methods, ensuring high quality and remarkable performance. Boats like a 40-foot flybridge, capable of cruising at 20 knots and reaching a top speed of 30 knots, represented ambitious projects for those times. With the advent of fiberglass in the 1980s, OTAM began collaborating with a renowned American shipyard, producing about 25 boats and subsequently developing its own Projects, including the iconic 45' and 55' models, which solidified OTAM's position as a Specialist in the Industry. From the outset, the market and industry specialists responded immediately and significantly, prompting a natural evolution and requirement for expanding the structure.

The present OTAM products portfolio is the result of over 70 years of specialization. N°2 production segments, Fast&Iconic and Otam Custom Range. The OTAM 45’ Open or T-Top version, the 58’ Open, HT or GTS, the new 70’HT or GTS, the 80’HT or GTS together with the All New 90 HT or GTS that will be presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 are Fast&Iconic line…but there is more on the drawing board... we will disclose very soon, stay tuned ! The OTAM CUSTOM RANGE offers unique flexibility together with superior standards and a dedicated environment where to design, develop and build your full Custom Project ranging from 45’ to 40 meters. The market response has been significant in various regions worldwide, including Italy, Germany and northern Europe, Greece, the Middle East, the USA, Latin America, Turkey, and Belgium. To date, Otam has constructed and launched over 100 vessels, many of which serve as chase units, highly customized for Mega Yacht owners who demand not only freedom of action but also the highest quality standards and reliability for which Otam is known for...
